Tumble Fun is located at New England Movement Arts, NEMA, in Burlington. We specialize in teaching and coaching children, teens and adults. Starting at four years old, we teach basic body movements including running, skipping, hopping, frontwards, sideways and backwards. More advanced students learn about gymnastics/tumbling body shapes. Stretch and strengthen exercises are introduced for body coordination and awareness. This progresses into basic tumbling techniques including forward and backwards rolls. Experienced, returning and advanced students are encouraged to physically condition, review basic skills with the goal of achieving new skills. Ongoing classes combine multiple skills into a smooth transitional series allowing for more continuous movements.
Adult classes start with basic conditioning including strength and stretching routines. Basic body shapes, basic skills such as a forward roll are safely taught. Adults with previous experience are encourage to have fun relearning previous skills and encouraged to learn new ones.
Cheerleaders, dancers and martial artists who have specific goals are encouraged to contact us for either specific classes and/or private coaching. Aerial cartwheels, backhandsprings, 540 kicks, butterfly, butterfly twists...etc are just some of the more common skills which many movement artists seek to master.
Our facility also has many gymnastics type equipment including traveling rings, parallel, uneven parallel bars, pommel horse, and chinning bar. Our kids rock wall offers a fun wall to climb safely within the arms length reach of our coaches. Our warp wall and salmon ladder challegenes even the most die hard student.
Safety is of paramount importance in all classes. Soft mats, cushions are abound. This allows each student to explore their world in a safe environment. A tumble trak with multiple crash pads allow for repetitive and safe learning of airborne skills.
